OMG! There is so much going on here. I mean the lights, the sights, the sounds, it's all taking a lot to get used to. Driving is INSANE! Cars swoop pass, going what seems to be 100mph, as I try to listen to Jake (Garmin GPS) and scream silently to myself. Everyone has advise on where to live, who to date, and what to do this weekend. There is so much to know and get used to.
On the plus side, everyone is sweet and willing to help. It's like they can smell lost confusion from a million miles away. So many beautiful people. People are from everywhere. Literally, everywhere. I have seen people who I don't know what they are and I ask them where they are from and they say, "Africa", "Germany", "Japan", and "Brazil", just to name a few. The culture shock has begun. I feel so small.
Albuquerque was pretty easy to master. Two main highways and plenty of quick ways to avoid them all together. Here, everything is highway. Other drivers are good about letting you in. My blinker finger is getting more use now then it ever did in 9 years in "The Land of Enchantment". I am tired all of the time. The time seems to pass so much faster now that I am two hours ahead. I am still in a dream state with just a hint of reality in the fringes of my existence.
I am living in a hotel for now. No job, no apartment. Hopefully, that will change in the next week. This adventure is half nightmare, half the best thing I have ever done :)
